In the heart of Maplewood, Minnesota lies a 23 acre park with a long and varied history. I teamed up with Jeremy Nienow of Nienow Cultural Consultants LLC to tell the story of this historical place.
We were hired to plan the locations and topics for eight trail sings and one custom playground piece. Once that was decided, we got to work researching, writing and locating great imagery to tell the various stories. Topics cover natural history, cultural history and the restoration efforts of the City of Maplewood to turn this once industrial train maintenance yard back to natural prairie.
In Phase 2, Jeremy and I teamed up once again to design, produce and install the exhibit. I was the project manager as well as the designer on this very interesting project.
